New for 2009, the bar will now regularly open an hour and half before show time at The Barns. If you've got a ticket for a show, definitely make sure to stop by early for drink specials on draft beers, house liquors, and house wines! Most shows start at 8pm, so we'll be waiting for you at 6:30. Aside from our drink offerings, we also now offer an extended food menu! You can view the menu in its entirety on our web site.
Several Wolf Trap staffers including myself are attending tomorrow night's Barns show from The Bird and The Bee (click link for their latest single), so stop by and have a beer with us. This Los Angeles based duo is generating some serious national buzz resulting from their recently released sophomore album Ray Guns are Not Just the Future, a highly coveted musical guest slot on Leno, a Billboard chart-topping single, and a featured song in the Sex and The City movie. The band is obviously enjoying some serious momentum, which we're hoping will translate into one of the best performances at The Barns this year. Kudos to our programming director for inserting such a big curveball into our spring schedule, as the Bird and The Bee fall into the highly ambiguous category of "indie-rock" with a curious blend of psychedelic pop, Brazilian jazz, and electronica. Take advantage of this opportunity to see them in such an intimate venue on this limited 11 date tour, for I anticipate them playing concert halls twice our size in 1 - 2 years time.

See you tomorrow!
